It was so good to just pop it into the microwave and after a short space of time I was enjoying a beautiful meal, I could add my own vegetables if I wanted to expand the meal. The experience is what you see on the box . I recommend all the meal but the oxtail I never had a chance to sample it my friend came and took it. The meat was succulent seasoning was on point . Very impressed with Jamaica On Ice, placing a second order right now! I have a Jamaican restaurant and Caribbean takeaway near me, and Jamaica On Ice's meals put them both to SHAME. Rich, deep flavours, generous portions, good cuts of meat and a proper level of spice that doesn't cater to more delicate palates (this isn't white people spicy, if they say it's spicy it's going to be spicy lol).

Delivery was on par , the update was timely. I have had the jerk chicken, curry chicken, roti and tonight ackee and salt fish; I have enjoyed them immensely.
The texture and flavour is fresh, surprisingly the banana was still soft.

Peppered steak: something's missing. Need to taste seasoning; tasted bland; could only taste the pepper
Jerk Chicken: loved it especially as it was thigh and leg and not the breast piece!
Curry Chicken: nice taste but don't like breast.
Oxtail: One to go so I hope its taste is consistent with the first one!

We love your story of how the business started, we brought this for my husband mother who are from Grenada (sorry next time we will take picture).
We prefer to do this in the oven, (as my husband mother does this in the microwave, but we found for the cooking time for the Rice was too much so we cut the container in half and cooked the meat longer than Rice), have you thought of doing additional sachets of the sauces, (at a price) and doing you do the Meat dishes with and without the Rice.
Chicken curry and Goat curry was delicious, my husband said the Pepper Steak ( could of been a little bit spicer, (but l do get your concept and who are your target customers, that’s why l suggested doing additional sauces), as for my self and family who love Caribbean food but unfortunately have little to no restaurant or produces in our local supermarket or area, ( we do cook) but come home and fancying a Curry in you freezer is a great idea, thank you again for your service.

I was so amazed firstly with the packaging clear details of ingredients and how to heat up the meal.
I am disabled but I no longer use the GAS cooker. Had a chef cooking for me for a while. I saw an advert and thought what an awesome idea let me try. It was money well spent. The taste is like how we would cook. I am away but I must add I stay away from curry chicken. Your curry chicken Wow I got the gravy and I don't really do gravy Jamaica on Ice has me hooked. So far Oxtail n Rice n peas is my favourite I was SUCKING those bones .

Very nice❤️ after the first five minutes take out the rice and continue for one and half minutes if microwave is 900w because meat will dry out when placed for 5 minutes

On the whole, all the dishes were authentic, full of flavour and decently portioned. They taste much better than any Caribbean convenience food I've ever bought from a supermarket and are on par with my local Caribbean takeaway, but less costly.
My only slight criticism would be with the oxtail, as I think this could be worked on more to improve the tenderness/flavour of it, but currently I would give it a 6/10.
Going forward, I will happily pay just short of £50 for 6 dishes which I can pop in the freezer for the times I need to grab n go, or just dont fancy cooking.
Keep up the good work, Jamaica on Ice - you've definitely filled a gap in the market for quality, authentic tasting frozen Caribbean food! I have told my friends to try your dishes too!

That was the Oxtail. To be honest, It tasted really nice but not impressed with the Oxtail quantity - it was all bone and gristle. The curry chicken and peppered steak was tremendous though, and will definitely order again.
